I’ve been photographing old places and things of everyday life since 2004.
I’ve been committing crimes of knowledge for nearly a decade.
I am a self-taught photographer using no special gear or training.
I am a preservationist, but have no regard for lame “urban exploring” ethics.
I don’t like talking about myself.
The [jonrev Projects] signature work exhibits the final chapter for – and sometimes eulogizes – the many great buildings in the Chicago area that have been lost by means of time, neglect, financial or political woes, stupidity and/or apathy. These stories and visuals serve as a history of such places, and a brutally honest commentary on the parallax between achievements in construction, and our growingly-disposable society.
